A
great cause of pain is loss of love, or fear of losing it, either fear
of losing a loved one to death, or losing a love in a relationship. It is actually an illusion,
but as it seems so very real to us, it pains us greatly.
How
is it an illusion? The spiritual world is the real world.
Where we are now, is a temporary playground, a story if you
will. In the real spiritual world all there is - is love and
oneness - no separation whatsoever.
We
allow ourselves to forget this to experience love at a lower level to
appreciate love at a higher level. Picture playing with a baby's
toy, like putting the donut rings on the stake. You can easily
do that, and it's not that exciting for you when you achieve it.
Now picture putting that last piece of a 1000 piece puzzle in place -
now that's exciting! It was more of a challenge to you.
You appreciate your achievement more.
Well
love it is at its fullest, in oneness and perfection in the spirit
world. What we long for is the thrill of achievING, since we
already have achieveMENT. Well, we can't have achievING in the
spirit world, where all is already achievED. So, we have to
create a pretend world, and forget what we have achievED so we can
experience the thrill of achievING.
So,
while lost in this illusive world, where it's hard to see loss of love
as an illusion, and feeling the pain as so very real and so very
gigantic to us, what can we do for relief?
First,
remember now, it is an illusion. With that knowledge find a
quite place, and if you can play soft instrumental music in the
background, it can help. Sit comfortably, preferably in a room
by yourself. Close your eyes. Picture yourself as a spirit
sitting exactly as you are opposite of your physical entity. Let
your spirit self see your physical self with the eyes closed.
Let
Spirit Self smile upon you, (your physical self - that I'll refer to
as you). Let that smile come from love. Let Spirit Self
love you. Go within to the source of Spirit Self, and Spirit
Self's knowledge that all the pain is an illusion, a device, a way to
experience love differently than it really is.
Think
about how you are experiencing that love, that is causing you to feel
the pain you do. Stop thinking about the pain for a moment, and
think about how you are experiencing the love differently than it
truly is. Ponder on this experience. It is why you are
here. Don't miss this moment. That's what we try to do is
run and escape these moments, because they are painful. It is
when you embrace this moment, that the healing of the pain can
begin.
Focus
on how love seems different now. Tears will probably flow, let
them. Embrace this love. If you focus clearly, you can
feel the love, even with tears without the suffering of pain.
At
anytime, when you feel the pain returning, resume your role of Spirit
Self, sitting across from you, looking at you, smiling upon you, and
loving you.
Endure
pondering the different love for as long as you need to, but close
your session with Spirit Self loving you.
You
can resume this meditation at anytime, for any pain.
Try
it. It helps. That's why you are here to find the real
true love, that you forgot was never gone.
