I Want to Change Litter Brands but My Kitty Doesn't Like it.

This one is really easy.  Take the new kitty litter and pour a fine layer of it on the bottom.  Then pour your current litter on top, and do NOT mix it.  Kitty will mix it himself, when he uses the litter box, and will start getting a feel for the new texture of the new kitty litter, and a scent for the new smell of the kitty litter.  Next time you change your litter box, pour a little more of the new litter on the bottom layer, and less of your current kitty litter on top.  Do this two more times, each time increasing the new litter, while decreasing the old litter.  After the two more training periods, you should be able to use your new *litter without the old.

*Speaking of kitty litters - Seqkat's purr-sonal recommendation would be the wood pelleted litters.  They are the best.  As the pellets get wet, they turn to a very soft saw dust.  You only scoop the poop.  When the litter is full of saw dust, it's time to empty it completely - (and discover the bottom of your litter box is DRY!!), and pour in some new.  This is the best kitty litter on odor as well.  And this litter is biodegradable - you can use it as mulch!

You can purchase it right here at PETsMART!
