Are you not
doing as well as you thought you would, or wish you could with
affiliate programs? Don't toss the towel in quite yet.
Here are some small tidbits to help you.
Join more
than one - especially the free ones, you can afford free.
Add all the small monies you earn together, and obviously you're
earning more than you would with one program alone.
Join the
affiliate programs that relate to your business or website.
Customers who come to your site for your service or products, may
very well be interested in your affiliate program offers too, as
they compliment the same subject.
Do not
advertise the affiliate program. Advertise YOUR website, not
the affiliate website. That way, if a visitor doesn't like
that particular product or service, once at your site, they may
like your product or service better, or one of your other
affiliate program offers.
Sending
traffic to YOUR site has it's obvious rewards, than just sending
them to your affiliate program, and this way, you are advertising
all that you have to offer, once that visitor comes to your
site. That's making several homeruns with one hit!
This is more efficient advertising.
Also, other
affiliates are your DIRECT competition. Using the ads, the
affiliate program will only allow, are being used by hundreds or
hundred thousands, maybe even millions of others. Your ad
will not stand out in the crowd. Why go to you, when they go
to John Doe who has the same thing? Advertising YOUR site,
allows you to make your own unique ads about YOUR site, and then
there is only ONE site exactly like yours - not hundreds,
thousands and millions like there are of the affiliate sites.
Most
important tidbit of all here - making money from the affiliate
programs WILL TAKE TIME. And I'm not talking about one
month, two months, or three. Time must occur to get yourself
known as an established business person, to get your website
gaining traffic like a well oiled machine, and these things do NOT
occur over night. Seriously, the get rich quick - yes, is
too good to be true. The more effective manner is to earn in
consistency over time.
